What to see in Virtual Reality?
The Virtual Tour of the Vatican begins in the ancient St. Peter’s Basilica. We are in Nero’s Rome and there is a climate of terror in the city. Take on the role of an ancient Roman and virtually walks; interact with animated characters and virtual reconstructions, while listening to the narrator. Look around! You will be able to see the Circus of Nero and the Vatican Obelisk. Peter’s Square. If you look further you will see Castel Sant’Angelo. You will also be able to observe the necropolis of St. Peter’s Basilica, a place that Nero transformed into a macabre scene for the execution of Christians. The years pass and the scenery in front of your eyes changes. You are in 313 AD, near the Paleochristian Basilica of Constantine and the emperor issues his edict: the Edict of Constantine. With it, freedom of worship was finally proclaimed throughout the Empire, putting an end to the long period of Christian persecutions.
Virtually enter it. Look at every little detail. The central fountain; then the precious marbles; the altar and finally the light filtering through the stained glass windows. Listen carefully to the events of how it changed over time to take on its current appearance.
