Easter 2019 in Rome: best things to do

Rome is always splendid, in every season.

Roma caput mundi, the ancients said, that is “Rome, capital of the world”. In Spring time, however, the capital breathes a different air: the clear blue sky, the pleasant breeze, the flowering trees combine to make the Roman stay even more special.

Don’t bore them with long lunches, but take them to explore the city instead!

Explora (via Flaminia, 80/86, close to piazzale Flaminio and piazza del Popolo) is a child-friendly museum. There are many activities that you can find on the official website. In particular, for those who work and cannot stay with children, we point out the Campus.

The Campus takes place from Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm and tickets are daily or weekly. Children will be divided into two age groups, from age 3 to age 11.

The Luneur, the historic amusement park in Rome, hosts an Easter egg hunt from April 18th to 28th! Every day, from Thursday 18 to Sunday 28 April, the Luneur welcomes you at 12:30pm and at 5:30pm. The kids will love it!

Another museum in Rome, the Maxxi (National Museum of Arts of the XXI century) welcomes children with activities for families with kids. Current exhibitions will involve everyone with games and dedicated activities. Once outside the exhibition halls, then, it’s time to play on the lawns and in the courtyard of the museum: open to all and free!
